Dr. Birjees Hakak is a consultant at Sharp Sight Eye Hospitals. She completed her MBBS and MS in Ophthalmology from the prestigious Government Medical College, Srinagar. She has three years of teaching experience as a Senior Resident at GMC Srinagar.

She has completed a two-year long-term fellowship in Glaucoma and Anterior Segment at Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, New Delhi. She is a trained anterior segment and cataract phaco surgeon and has specialized in all aspects of glaucoma management, including both medical and surgical treatments, such as trabeculectomy, minimally invasive glaucoma surgeries and tube implants. She has a keen interest in academics, with numerous publications and presentations in various national and international journals.
